Crunch a bunch cake9/5/2023 ![]() ![]() Next, add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a metal sieve and sift the dry ingredients onto the wet.Add the applesauce, room temperature oat milk, vanilla, and the bloomed cocoa powder into the sugar mixture and whisk. In a large bowl, cream the oil and sugar.Next bloom cocoa powder: in a small bowl mix together the cocoa powder, instant espresso and the boiling water until there are no lumps.Note: you can use a 9” round pan, however the layers will be thinner and the finished cake crumb turns out a bit looser. Cut out circles of parchment paper and lay them in the bottom of the pans. Grease 3 6” round cake pans or 2 8” round cake pans.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.Wrap the cake with plastic wrap and place the slices in a freezer-proof baggie. Let the cake come to room temperature for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.įreezer:After 1-2 days, I recommend freezing slices of the cake to help it retain its moisture. Room Temperature: this cake can be kept at room temperature for 1-2 days, covered with a glass cover.įridge:The cake can also be stored in the fridge, wrapped loosely in plastic wrap, or in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
